Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use Departed, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access the web. Accessibility is not an afterthought here — it is part of how we build the site.

Our Standards

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. That means:

• Semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate pages effectively.
• Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements — menus, forms, links, and buttons.
• Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds.
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful images.
• Clear focus indicators so keyboard users always know where they are on the page.
• Responsive layouts that work across screen sizes and zoom levels.

Known Limitations

We are continuously improving. If you encounter content that is difficult to access, it may be something we have not addressed yet. We take reports seriously and prioritize fixes.
